boda playa puesta sol cadiz

Celebrating a wedding on the beach in Cadiz (Andalusia, Spain) more specifically on the beach of Vejer de la Frontera is a great plan. And to be able to be the photographer of that wedding, for me it is not only a great plan, but also a luxury.

Annika and Juan live in Germany, but they knew they wanted to get married on the beach. And what better place than the beaches of Cadiz to celebrate their wedding. They chose the Trafalgar Polo Club to enjoy the day with their friends and family. In front of the private estate La Mangueta beach is located. It belongs to the municipality of Vejer de la Frontera, a small town that if you don’t know, I encourage you to go there because it is one of the most beautiful towns you will find in Cadiz and Andalusia.

They wanted to celebrate the whole day of the wedding in the same venue and took advantage of the different areas offered by the club. The ceremony was on the beach of La Mangueta. The Wedding Planners Bodas en la Playa team made a very simple and spectacular set up with the beach and the sea in the background as the protagonist of the whole wedding. They used white chairs and an altar area with white fabrics and beautiful flowers from Cotton Candy, a florist from Conil de la Frontera that makes a simple, elegant and beautiful floral decoration.

After some lemonade and iced tea, the guests walked along a wooden walkway to the ceremony area on the sandy beach. Most of them took the opportunity to take off their shoes and enjoy the views of the sea of Cadiz. Once the bride and groom arrived, one of the most emotional ceremonies I have been to as a photographer began. Smiles, looks of complicity, nerves and many tears. My style of photography is very natural, so it was a real pleasure to take pictures of those moments of the wedding with the sea in the background.

The ceremony ends and the smiles and hugs with the guests do not stop. And I could not stop smiling to see the happiness that was breathed on that beach. I took a few minutes to take some pictures of the bride and groom on the beach. The bride wore a Pronovias dress with lace all over the top that ended up becoming a simple skirt that occasionally moved with a gust of wind and left me some beautiful and natural photographs. Those five minutes on the beach gave us some beautiful pictures, but the highlight was reserved for the sunset. The couple wanted to have a few minutes alone taking a photo session at sunset walking along the beach of Vejer. And what a few minutes! The sunset was amazing. The orange tones were mixed with the blue tones of the sea. The couple was enthusiastic and we enjoyed the session and the beach like children. Everything letting it flow and in a very natural and informal style. Avoiding posing and letting the couple have fun in front of the camera. You can see the result in the pictures of this post.

The rest of the day passed in the same mood: toast with friends, amazing food from Momento Andaluz Catering one of the best caterers in the province of Cadiz. I had already heard of their reputation at weddings, but without a doubt, seeing them work and the quality they offered made me drool. To top it all off, we were accompanied throughout the day by the music of Galactic Force, one of the dj’s with the best musical style I have come across in all my years working as a wedding photographer.

The dinner was held under a tent full of light bulbs and verbenas of lights. Enjoying the sunset, the views of the beaches of Cadiz in the background and the company of its people.

I hope you like the pictures as much as I do.

And if you’ve been wanting to see another wedding reportage of mine, but this time in the city of Barcelona, stop by to take a look at this wedding in a private home in Barcelona. The bride was incredible with her red lips and her long hair.
