Couple photo session on film in Costa Brava, Spain

I’m really excited to share this couple session shot entirely on film. No digital cameras this time – just rolls of film, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. What I wanted to capture here was simple: intimacy, calmness, and the way two people connect when they’re just enjoying each other’s company.

For me, a couple session doesn’t need big poses or complicated setups. It’s about documenting the small gestures – a look, a smile, a hug – those little moments that show how a relationship really feels.

I wanted to give this shoot a more intimate, cinematic feel, something that you can almost experience through the photos. That’s why shooting film made so much sense. Film naturally adds depth, texture, and tones that instantly create atmosphere. Every frame feels more intentional and timeless, and I love how it slows down the process and makes us value each click.

This couple also happens to love film photography, which made things even easier. I brought along several of my cameras – from 35mm to medium format – and we just played around for a few hours, experimenting and enjoying the whole process together.

The location was key as well. We wanted the session to feel personal, so we went to a small piece of land they own in the Costa Brava, just a few kilometers from the beach. It’s a place that belongs to them, where they feel comfortable, and I think that shows in the photos. Being in their own space allowed everything to flow naturally and made the whole experience even more meaningful.

If you love images with a nostalgic, natural, and cinematic look, a couple session on film is such a beautiful way to capture a moment in your life in a unique and timeless way.

If you liked this photo session I really recommend you to take a look at one of the most beautiful weddings I had in Catalunya, Spain. It was a wedding inspired by Dali.
